Job Summary
Provide effective communication and supervision to art department associates to meet departmental goals. Lead the department in working on revisions, Photoshop photos, rendering new designs and creating brochures to conform to the company’s style guidelines and procedures. Ensure that each design is rendered and revised as directed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and manufacturability.
Responsibilities and Duties: The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Conduct participatory planning with staff for setting individual and team goals and see that they are met. Coordinate and supervise department activities to achieve desired goals and objectives. Review and revise workflow in coordination with the management to improve operational efficiency. Monitor daily activities of department staff and provide guidance whenever needed. Ensure the completions of all artworks are with a minimum of waste and abuse to equipment. Access to remote desk top for retrieving art references as needed by graphic designers. Conduct periodic reviews of SA Style Guidelines Address employee grievances and maintain positive and safe working environment for employees.
Develop best practices to ensure quality and productivity.
Provide trainings and mentor staff to improve their professional and technical skills.
Provide support asneeded when AW volume is beyond the designers can manage.
Review and proofing of finished AW.
Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for improvements.
Monitor staff progress periodically and provide status report to the management.
Monitor timesheets of employees and endorse staffleaves to the management for approval/disapproval.
Ensure department staffs espouse the Core Values and follow standard operation procedures.
Analyze department issues and provide appropriate corrective actions.
Assist in employee recruitment, orientation, training, promotion, retention and termination activities.
Maintain department records and generate routine and ad-hoc reports for management as requested.
Follow and enforce company policies and procedures. Maintain office order and systems.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals.
Report daily accomplishment, issues, and suggestions to SA Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Ensure performance of computers and the maintenance thereof following maintenance procedures.
Ensure backup of all work in progress and archived completed work is done in a timely manner
